In today’s class we’re going to be going over the real-time dashboards in ProjectManager.com. The dashboards are where you’ll find real-time data visualizations of your project’s status. Your dashboards are populated automatically as your team enters their time and progress in their tasks. This will allow you to get a quick, high-level overview of the health of your projects in one powerful view.

Project Dashboard

Starting in the upper left, you’ll see the Health window. This is where you’ll see how far ahead or behind schedule the project is, overall number of tasks to be completed and tasks overdue, and overall progress and cost. Next you’ll see the task window. This shows a pie chart of task status by category – not started, in progress and complete.

Moving on to the Progress window, you can find completion percentages by task, showing planned and actual numbers in real time. Next are the Time and the Cost windows. Time is a bar chart of how ahead or behind schedule your project is currently. Similarly, Cost is a bar chart of how project costs are pacing against your total project budget, as well as a breakdown of planned costs vs. actual costs.

The last window is Workload. This is where you will find information about each team member’s workload, with a breakdown of task status between completed, remaining and overdue. This is helpful to quickly see which team members are falling behind, and which team members are making progress on their workload. Any of these windows can be expanded, and many of the details can be customized by clicking the cog icon within the window.

Next, let’s take a look at the overview dashboard.
